SaaS Spend Guard for Agencies
Kill zombie seats and duplicate tools across client and internal stacks — built for 10–100-person agencies.
Overview
Agencies hemorrhage money on SaaS: seats for departed staff, duplicate point tools across teams, client-billed subscriptions nobody reconciles after the client churns. Enterprise spend-management (Vertice, Vendr, Ramp's suite) targets companies with procurement teams — agencies have an ops manager with a spreadsheet.
The product: connect Google Workspace + accounting software, auto-inventory every SaaS subscription, map seats to actual usage, flag zombies and duplicates, and — the agency-specific twist — reconcile client-billable subscriptions against active client rosters so tool costs die when clients do. That last feature is the wedge nobody horizontal will build.
The problem
Agencies run 40–120 SaaS tools with per-seat pricing and client-specific subscriptions, and reliably waste 15–30% of spend — but enterprise spend tools are overkill and priced accordingly.
Who has this problem
Operations leads at 10–100-person marketing/dev/design agencies — a large, community-dense segment (agency owners talk to each other constantly).
Why now
SaaS price hikes through 2024–25 pushed cost discipline down-market, and agencies' margin pressure (AI eating billable hours) makes every recovered dollar visible. The client-billing reconciliation angle emerged as agencies shifted to tool-inclusive retainers.
Competition landscape
Enterprise spend platforms (wrong segment), generic subscription trackers (consumer-grade), spreadsheets. The agency-vertical slice with client reconciliation is open; horizontal players could descend but historically don't serve sub-200-seat well.
How it makes money
Flat subscription
Self-justifying: shows savings > price on the dashboard$99–$299/mo by agency size
Savings-share option

Signalist verdict
Solid, unglamorous, buyable. The dashboard that shows 'we found $2,300/mo of waste' closes the sale by itself — invest everything in making the first-connect experience produce that number within 10 minutes. Agency communities (r/agency, Slack groups, podcasts) make distribution unusually tractable for a vertical tool.
